Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness

Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness

This past weekend Ethan and I desperately needed to get outside - so naturally we headed for the mountains. The time we ended up in ASPEN.

Ethan, Harrison and I set out 4 hours West with absolutely ZERO PLAN as to what we would be doing. Typically, I have the majority of our trips planned out - so as not to miss out on anything epic, so this approach was definitely something new - but also something that definitely felt right. I just didn't have the energy to plan out every little detail so I decided to take a page from my own book of advice and just be.

We rolled into town and asked locals where we should hang out and found ourselves hiking around some of the most pristine wilderness any of us have ever seen. Aspen was a soul filling trip and we can't wait to head back.

Harrison FREAKED that I was brave enough to set foot into the water.

 Crater Lake

Crater Lake

Ethan absolutely insisted that we keep following a trail he had found which led us through the Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness and ultimately here - Crater Lake. The student has MAYBE become the teacher.

We may have gotten back home hours and hours after we had originally thought but you know what - it turns out having no plan is one of the best we've had yet. Our hearts are happy.
