Ethan and I might have both worked on Saturday but that didn't stop us from packing up Friday night and making our way into the mountains Saturday evening.
We had originally planned to camp right outside of Lyons, only to find that the road was still closed for the season. We reverted to the old and familiar (a NFSR we always camp on) that ended up feeling like something brand new.
We have camped on this particular service road so many times except this time we managed to get a cliff side spot, making it feel brand new. That's the thing I love about dispersed camping - every single site offers something different, something to make that specific site give you an entirely unique experience completely different than the site over. It never gets old!
